MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP State president Mr.K.Annamalai’s padayatra began in Madurai city today morning- on August 5th 2023. In the presence of a large number of party cadres and closely watched by the public and onlookers, he commenced his ‘En Mann En Makkal’ padayatra from Athikulam junction on Natham Road in Madurai city at around 10.30 am.
From Athikulam junction, he walked through the arterial old Natham Road waving to the huge gathering of party cadres and people on both sides of the road- Ulavar Santhai, Income Tax office, Bibikulam junction and at other places before reaching Sellur area in the afternoon.
Elaborate traffic regulation arrangements were made by the police on the route from Athikulam to Sellur today. BJP City urban district president Mr.Maha Suseendhran and party functionaries accorded a grand welcome and rousing reception to him at the commencement of padayatra in Madurai city.
The State BJP chief Mr.K.Annamalai is scheduled to stay here for a couple of days meeting local people, address public meetings and meet a few important persons from various walks of life. He will cover several localities in Madurai city in the next two days.
He had already completed the padayatra in Sholavandhan and Othakadai areas where he lashed out at the DMK government, alleged corruption and the family rule of DMK. Today morning, he visited the Ramakrishna Math on Natham Road in the city before commencing the padayatra.
