MADURAI: The Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Lt.Gen.Gurbirpal Singh had today exhorted the NCC cadets and students to tune their mind with a positive spirit of not giving up, ever and never.
“Don’t give up at any cost and under any situation. Tune your mind for that and your body will fall in line. Just say I will not give up. Put more efforts for success and keep moving forward. Only efforts and no shortcuts,” he said addressing a huge gathering of 1,200 NCC cadets from various institutions at Lady Doak College in Madurai on August 4th 2023.
Accompanied by senior officers of NCC Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Nicobar, he visited the Lady Doak College here today morning. The NCC Director General had motivated the students and cadets to always lead a disciplined life whether in uniform or not. “Always be self motivated, live with the spirit of nation first wherever you are and whatever you do,” he said. Lt.Gen.Gurbirpal Singh presented medals and certificates to cadets for various achievements.
Dr.Christianna Singh, Principal and Secretary, Lady Doak College, welcomed the gathering while Capt.Dr.T.Shanthameena, associate NCC officer, LDC, had proposed a vote of thanks.
Students performed cultural events representing national integration, unity is our strength-diversity is our power, our culture, our pride, our strength etc.
The NCC Director General Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh was in Madurai from August 2nd to 4th for assessment and review of NCC training facilities, activities and cadets’ performance. Com.Atul Kumar Rastogi, Deputy Director General of NCC and senior officers were among those present at the event held in Lady Doak College in Madurai today- on August 4th 2023.
