MADURAI: The student induction programme for first year students of Lady Doak College in Madurai for academic year 2023-24 was organised recently. For first year postgraduate students, the induction and orientation program was held on July 6th and 7th while the induction programme for UG 1st year students was held from 10th to 12th July 2023.
A press release received from the college here today had informed that Principal and Secretary of LDC Dr.Christianna Singh gave the theme “Rise Tall” and motivated the students who were welcomed by the vice-principal, Bursar, administrators and Heads of Departments. Roles of different offices were introduced and students were guided towards their responsibilities.
Ms.Sophia Graceline, child psychologist-Chennai, Ms.Blessing Stella, administrator and counsellor, Hallelujah Tower-Madurai, Ms.Sarah Jayakar, Mr.Inbaraj Antony, Mr.Neil Vimalkumar, Mrs.Sharmini Samuel-Life Focus Society, Ms.Sunita from Family Life Educator and counsellor, Enrich Ministries-Bengaluru and Ms.Abigail Alice Dorothy, psychologist-Madurai had addressed various sessions on life skills in this induction programme for PG and UG students.
Nearly 1,600 students had participated and got benefited through the induction programme which was organized by the Deans of Student Affairs and counselling unit of Lady Doak College, the press release said and added that students were mentored by Heads of Departments, faculty members, librarian, physical directors, counsellors, health supervisor and student cabinet members.
