MADURAI: A special ‘Bharat Gaurav’ train is being run as ‘Aadi Amavasai Yathirai’ round trip train service between Trivandrum Kochuveli and Varanasi (Kasi) for the convenience of pilgrims and tourists waiting to go to important temples in north India.
This special tourist train will start at Kochuveli station in Thiruvananthapuram on August 7th 2023 and passes through Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Villupuram, Chennai Egmore.
The Bharat Gaurav Train (SZBG07) will commence at Kochuveli Thiruvananthapuram at 12.30 hrs on 7th August and reach Banaras- Varanasi Kasi – on 13th August. after covering many important temples for the passengers. Return service will commence from Varanasi Banaras on 15th August 2023 and reach Kochuveli on 18th August, according to a press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today.
The trip covers Ujjain Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar temples, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Prayag, Varanasi and Gaya etc.
