MADURAI: The A.R.Memorial Children’s Park at K.K.Nagar in Madurai will now be a good learning spot too, thanks to the Rotary Club of Madurai West which has started a ‘Rotary Study Centre’ inside the park premises.
While there is a great space for playing on one side in this children’s park situated behind A.R.Hospital in K.K.Nagar in Madurai, it also provides a place for studying and preparing for competitive exams in a serene environment.
The Rotary Study Centre was inaugurated on June 28th 2023 by Dr.M.Srinivasan, Director of A.R.Hospital in K.K.Nagar in Madurai, in the presence of Prof.Raja Govindasamy, Rotary District Governor for 2024-25 (RI District 3000), Mr.L.Ramanathan, president, Rotary Club of Madurai West, Mr.Pon Kumar, club secretary and members of the club.
“This Rotary Study Centre will be very useful for aspirants of competitive exams who are preparing for Group exams etc. Books, furniture, lighting etc have been provided in this centre and we have created a good comfortable space for candidates who sit in the park for preparation. They will feel comfortable now and our club has good plans for this study centre,” Mr.L.Ramanathan, president of Rotary Club of Madurai West, has said after the inauguration on June 28th 2023.
Mr.Sashi Fomra, district secretary (projects), Mr.Hanif Tayub, incoming president of Rotary Club of Madurai West (2023-24) and several members of the club, were present at the inauguration held in A.R.Children’s Park-Madurai Corporation.
