MADURAI: The ‘Mega Job Fair’ hosted and organized by the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here today has given a career start to hundreds of job aspirants in and around Madurai, thanks to the efforts taken through ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ State-wide placement program organized in the university campus here on June 15th 2023, in association with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.
Hundreds of students from Madurai and nearby areas had thronged the MKU campus in Madurai today to participate in the job placement programme organized by the university with the support of Tamil Nadu State government’s ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ team. Final year students and graduates from various arts and science colleges in Madurai area had attended the placement programme today.
“Nearly 30 companies came forward for this job fair in Madurai, and in today’s program in MKU the registration is high. About 1,200 students and job aspirants attended the job fair held in MKU campus today. The companies include TVS Mobility, PROODLE-FOXCON, SBI, HDFC Life Insurance, IBM (Edu Tech) and other companies. The selected candidates were given offer letters and they got job placement opportunity through today’s job fair held under the auspices of ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ placement program that focused on skills and jobs,” Dr.P.Kannadasan, Placement Officer and Dean in-charge of College Development Council of MKU, has informed in a press release about the Mega Job Fair held in MKU campus in Madurai today- on June 15th 2023.
Prof.Dr.J.Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of MKU, had inaugurated the job fair today while Mr.Singathevan, program manager of ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ scheme in Madufai region of TN Govt’s Skill Development Corporation, spoke about how students and graduates in Tamil Nadu are getting jobs and right placement through special job fairs held in universities and other places in the State.
Dr.J.Balasubramaniam, coordinator of ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ job placement scheme in MKU, had proposed a vote of thanks.
