MADURAI: Commercial Taxes and Registration Minister Mr.P.Moorthy had laid the foundation stone for constructing a multipurpose sports stadium at Lady Doak College (LDC) in Madurai on June 12th 2023.
He unveiled the foundation stone plaque in the presence of LDC Principal and Secretary Dr.Christianna Singh who spoke about the significant contribution made by the college for the past 75 years and its role in empowerment of women.
Madurai District Collector Ms.M.S.Sangeetha had appreciated the efforts of Lady Doak College to empower women especially in the field of sports. MP Kalyanasundaram was thanked for allotting funds for construction of the proposed multipurpose stadium.
Dr.T.Shantha Meena, Director of Physical Education, Dr.Beaula Jeyashree, vice-principal of LDC, Dr.Vanitha Malarvizhi, college Bursar, and others were among those present along with officials from Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu and the college faculty, non-teaching staff and students.
