MADURAI: Athletes representing the Madurai Kamaraj University had won the bronze medal in 4X400 metres relay race, at the 3rd Khelo India University Games 2022 held at Guru Govind Singh Sports College in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh on 31st May 2023. The athletes are Ms.M.Snegavallai, Ms.K.Soundarya and Ms.R.Rathipandi (all three from Lady Doak College in Madurai) and Ms.S.Sagaya Jasmine Rose from G.T.N.College. They won bronze medal in 4X400 metres relay in athletics, according to information received from the university here today.
TAEKWONDO TRIALS:
P.Anusiya Priyadarshini of GTN Arts College represented Madurai Kamaraj University in the World University Games selection trials in Taekwondo U-62kg weight held at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amrtisar in Punjab and she was selected for World University Games to be held at Chenghu in China from July 28th to August 8th 2023, according to information received from MKU here today.
AMERICAN COLLEGE GETS SILVER MEDAL:
Mr.S.R.Shyam of The American College, who participated in the Khelo India university games 2022 held in Uttar Pradesh had won the silver medal in 200 metres Dash, at the 3rd Khelo India University Games that took place at Guru Govind Singh Sports College in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh on 31st May 2023.
S.Saran of G.T.N.College, representing MKU, secured 4th place in long jump in these games at the competition that was conducted on 29th May 2023, the press release said. S.R.Shyam of American College in Madurai secured 5th place in 100 metres Dash while athlete Ms.K.Soundarya of Lady Doak College secured 4th place in 800 metres Race at Khelo India University Games held in UP on May 31st 2023.
