MADURAI: The implementation of various civic infrastructure development works and amenities being created in Madurai city under the ‘Smart City’ project was reviewed by Madurai MP Mr.Su.Venkatesan at a full-length meeting held here on June 8th 2023.
At this review meeting conducted in corporation main building ‘Anna Maaligai’ yesterday, the Madurai MP took stock of the works in progress being carried out through Smart City project, AMRUT Scheme and from the local area development fund of Member of Parliament in Madurai corporation area, according to a press release received from the corporation.
The review meeting was chaired by Madurai Mayor Ms.Indrani Ponvasanth and Corporation Commissioner Mr.Simranjeet Singh. Water supply infrastructure works and other development projects taken up from MP local area development fund were discussed and reviewed. Instructions were given to corporation officials and field staff to expedite the works and complete the underground drainage works in wards and finish the road repair works in all localities.
Deputy Mayor T.Nagarajan and City Engineer Mr.Arasu were among those present at this review meeting on June 8th 2023 along with executive engineers, assistant engineers and other staff of Madurai Corporation.
