MADURAI: The ‘Save Higher Education Movement-TN’ had alerted and complained to the Tamil Nadu Government that colleges are boldly violating the government orders and collecting exorbitant fees from students for admission to various courses.
In an important press release issued from Madurai on 1st June 2023 by R.Murali, State Coordinator of ‘Save Higher Education Movement-Tamil Nadu’, this issue was taken to the attention of Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin and officials in higher education department by stating that “violation of government orders in connection with college admissions have become an acceptable practice in Tamil Nadu, for collection of course fees, the aided colleges violating the orders and collecting exorbitant money as fees. It is also a violation of UGC Regulations, and so we appeal to the Tamil Nadu government, to Chief Minister M.K.Stalin to regulate the fees immediately in aided colleges that are taking excess fee for UG and PG courses.”
