MADURAI: A seventh standard school student in Madurai had today contributed Rs.7,999 from her savings to the army welfare fund. The girl student- Ms.Thanushka whose family resides at Kamarajar Salai in Madurai, near Thangam Mahal in Madurai South area, had handed over the bank draft to Madurai District Collector Ms.Sangeetha at the collectorate here today- on May 29th 2023.
According to a press release from the collectorate, the student S.Thanushka is studying seventh class and wanted to contribute to the army welfare fund and gave Rs.7,999 from her small savings kitty. Appreciating the student, the Madurai District Collector had given an appreciation certificate to student Thanushka and appreciated her for her good work and gesture.
