MADURAI: Demand is growing from academic quarters and associations that seniority basis should be followed for appointment of new Registrar for Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here in the place of Dr.K.Sadasivam who is now Registrar in-charge.
Sources told ‘Lotus Times’ website here on May 19th 2023 that the name of Dr.B.Mayilvaganan, a senior professor in Department of Applied Mathematics of MKU, is top in the seniority list and hence the faculty members are appealing to the university Vice-Chancellor and to government authorities to ensure that seniority is followed in the process of appointing Registrar for the varsity.
