MADURAI: The ‘Varthaga Club’ of Department of Commerce of Lady Doak College in Madurai had conducted an inter-collegiate meet ‘Clash of Comms 2K23’ on 17th April 2023 on an important theme named ‘sustainability, ethics and environment’, to bring out young budding talent among commerce students. Nearly 120 students participated in this event which was open to colleges all over Tamil Nadu, according to a press release received from the college here yesterday.
Mr.A.Ahamed Rias, managing partner of S.E.V.Edusmart International, inaugurated the event and he lauded the role of LDC being provided for past more than seven decades in educational service. He briefed about S.E.V.Edusmart International which is working a lot for education consultancy across the country.
The participants performed in various events such as ‘Think Tank (paper presentation), Young Tycoon (Business Proposal), Master Minds (Business Quiz), Mr.Ms. Comms (Best Manager), Power Walk (corporate walk), Passionate (As you like it), Ad Mad (Ad-Zap), Footloose (solo dance), Design Hill (logo creation), colour art (Rangoli) and Shutter Story ( short film).
Dr.Carmel Richard, associate professor, Department of Mathematics, was the chief guest for valedictory function.
