RPF holds flag march at Madurai Railway Junction to avert law and order issues

MADURAI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) had taken out a flag march at Madurai Railway Junction here today morning- on April 6th 2023. This flag march was conducted by RPF police to avert law and order issues in trains and to instil confidence among train passengers in the wake a train fire incident in Kerala a few days ago involving a passenger.

A press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today has informed that the flag march by RPF at Madurai railway station was held at the time of departure of Madurai-Chennai Egmore Vaigai Express from platform number 5 today morning.

Divisional inspector of RPF-Madurai, Post Commander-Madurai along with five sub-inspectors, four assistant sub-inspectors, 20 head constables and inspector-railway police, Madurai along with 10 government railway police took part in the flag march at Madurai railway station on April 6th 2023, the press release said.
