MADURAI: The 70th alumnae day of Lady Doak College in Madurai was celebrated on April 3rd 2023 with various programmes and get together events. Ms.Felcia Vasantha Kumari, alumnae association president, welcomed the gathering and urged the members to continue to learn, grow and contribute to the well-being of students.
Dr.Deborah Christina, secretary of the alumnae association, gave a brief report on service projects of the association while treasurer Ms.Deva Sangeetha presented the annual accounts. Dr.Christianna Singh, Pirncipal, LDC,had exhorted the students to play an active role for college development.
Ms.Brindha.K. had reiterated the selfless role of college founder Ms.Katie Wilcox. Dr.Beula thanked the alumnae for their support while Ms.Beryl Jeniffer proposed a vite of thanks. Comepetitions were conducted and prizes were distributed, a carnival was arranged and the college alumnae had set up stalls with variety of products, according to a press release received from the college here today.
A friendly volleyball match and kabaddi match between the alumnae and current students were conducted giving a great experience, and members reminisced about their college days.
