LIBA logistics excellence award presented (Video)

CHENNAI: The Dr.Xavier Britto Excellence Award for Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Logistics for the 2021-22 batch of the Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) was presented to Ms.Sowmiya Alagappan Singaram who scored the first rank and best outgoing student of PGP in Logistics, a course in logistics jointly offered by LIBA and Kerry Indev Logistics, at a function held in Loyola College campus in Nungambakkan in Chennai on March 24th 2023.

This award is given every year to best student of Post Graduate Program in Logistics, and the award was given to Ms.Sowmiya Alagappan Singaram in the presence of Prof.P.Chandiran, Fr.Poondy Rajan, Mr.John Parkes, Dr.S.Xavier Britto, Fr.C.Joe Arun and Prof.Lakshmi Narayanan at an event held in LIBA Loyola College campus in Chennai, according to a press release received here yesterday.

ENDOWMENT LECTURE:

The Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management of LIBA and KERRY INDEV Logistics had organized Dr.S.Xavier Britto Annual Endowment Lecture in Loyola College campus in Chennai on 24th March 2023 on the topic ‘on logic of logistics in building technology enabled future’ and the lecture was given by Mr.John Parkes, Managing Director-Integrated Logistics, Kerry Logistics Network Ltd, Hongkong.

Dr.S.Xavier Britto is an acclaimed leader and entrepreneur, and his expertise in logistics and supply chain is well known. LIBA director Rev.Fr.C.Joe Arun had welcomed the gathering, the inaugural address was given by Dr.S.Xavier Britto who spoke in the importance of logistics for economy, cold chain logistics, e-commerce etc.

Nearly 700 participants attended this endowment lecture for which top executives and managers from various logistics companies and LIBA faculty were present, according to information received from Dr.P.Chandiran, Professor and Associate Dean – Weekend and Diploma Porgrams, Chairperson of Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management of Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), at Loyola College campus in Chennai, has said.
