MADURAI: The Madurai Railway Division has today invited applications from retired railway employees of any department to join as facilitators for issue of unreserved tickets through Automatic Ticket Vending Machine at railway stations in Madurai Division.
A railway press release received here on March 22nd 2023 has informed the number of facilitators needed at railway stations- Madurai (6 persons), Dindigul-5, Manapparai 2, Manamadurai 2 persons, Paramakudi 1, Punalur 1, Kottarakkara 1, Tirunelveli 5 persons, Nazareth 1, Tiruchendur 1, Virudhunagar 2, Kovilpatti 2, Sattur 2 persons, Sivakasi 2, Sankarankoil 1, Pudukottai 1, Udumalapettai 1, Palani 1, Kadayanallur 1, Kallidaikurichi 1, Sengottai 3, Cheranmahadevi 1, Kizha Puliyur 1, Ambasamudram 1, Pavuchatram 1, Tuticorin 1 and Vanchi Maniyachchi railway station 2 persons.
“The main objective of this scheme is to reduce the waiting time of passengers at the ticket counters in railway stations in Madurai railway division. Specimen application form and general conditions of engagement of facilitators are displayed at the notice boards of railway stations. Only those retired railway employees settled in the particular station limit can apply for the engagement of facilitator in the respective station, the press release said.
Filled in application need to be submitted to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, DRM office in Madurai railway division, Madurai-625 016.
