MADURAI: World Sparrow Day will be commemorated on March 20th 2023 in an apt manner at the American College in Madurai by creating awareness programmes for students and the general public.
The PG and Research Department of Zoology and Green Management of the college is conducting a special programme in the campus on that day. Dr,M.Davamani Christober, Principal and Secretary of The American College, will inaugurate the World Sparrow Day program at 10 am on 20th March 2023 in the campus.
When contacted, M.Rajesh, Coordinator of Green Management Programme of American College, has said today that artificial sparrow nest boxes will be distributed to students and public to commemorate the World Sparrow Day, besides creating awareness about birds population and the dangers of pesticides on birds population etc.
