MADURAI: In an important initiative that is going to immensely benefit Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Madurai region, leading trade and industry body MADITSSIA has taken steps to conduct a Vendor Development Programme cum industrial exhibition that is going to set a platform for MSME Vendor Expo in Madurai on March 7th and 8th 2023, thanks to Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association.
This vendor expo which will have participation of top public sector enterprises and leading private companies is taking place at MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai. Talking to reporters at a press meet organized here today, MADITSSIA president Mr.M.S.Sampath and Vendor Development Programme chairman Mr.L.Aravind have said that this exhibition is going to be a bog boost for the MSMEs in this region and there are going to be stalls for buyers and sellers.
The vendor development programme cum industrial exhibition and MSME vendor expo 2023 is being organized by MSME Development and Facilitation Office-Madurai Branch in association with MADITSSIA, in order to create a platform for new business opportunities for small and medium companies and enable them get business orders from leading companies especially public sector undertakings, various government companies and private players.
“Creating market linkages for effective implementation of Public Procurement Policy for MSMEs is an important aim for us. Creating awareness about methods of procurement through Gem portal, e-tendering and government procedures will be done in this expo on March 7th and 8th which is the fifth edition of vendor development programme,” MADITSSIA president Mr.M.S.Sampath and vendor expo chairman Mr.L.Arvaind told mediapersons at the press meet in Madurai on 1st March 2023.
Buyers are going to participate in this vendor meet and hence it is going to be a fillip for MSMEs as they can get good orders and also come to know about the requirements. “This is a win win situation for small and medium units. Small scale entrepreneurs will be able to meet top companies that want to buy products of different ranges. Interactive meetings, buyer-seller meets from various places, bringing of PSUs are some of the highlights of this meet. The MSME Development and Facilitation Office-Madurai Branch is conducting seminars on vendor procedures for supply to government sector/CPSEs and GeM registration at this two-day expo at MADITSSIA Hall on March 7th and 8th 2023,” said Mr.Sampath and Mr.Aravind along with secretary Rm.Lakshminarayanan.
