MADURAI: The genuine demands being made by the administrative staff and non-teaching employees from various sections of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai have got support from different associations who came forward to extend their solidarity to the university staff at a massive protest agitation at the university campus in Madurai here today- on February 23rd 2023.
Association leaders of various leading associations of teachers and university employees took part in the agitation and raised voice in support of the university administrative staff’s prime demands that their salary should not be any re-fixation of their salary or in reducing the number of staff. The MKU Administrative Staff Association (MKU-ASA) is holding a massive protest cum demonstration in MKU today evening and leaders of various associations participated and gave their support for the issues raised by MKU administrative staff who are on a protest because their monthly salary will be reduced by up to 25 per cent because of an undertaking given by the MKU administration to the government stating that the salary of administrative staff of MKU will be re-fixed.
