KOCHI: Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Electronics and Technology Mr.Rajeev Chandrasekhar had stressed that the relationship between a student and a teacher is more equal than ever before and hence their collaboration will yield desired results in the changing scenario when technology is playing a key role.
“The truth today is that teacher-student relationship is more equal than before. Students know more about technology than teacher who teaches them the technology. Also, the students know more about insights and use of technology. In these days, when technical skills play a dominant role, the right partnership between teachers and educationists will achieve good results and this partnership model was rightly followed by academician Prof.Dr.E.Balagurusamy who has seen generations of students,” Mr.Rajeev Chandrasekhar has said after releasing the biography in Malayalam of renowned academician and former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University Prof.Dr.E.Balagurusamy, at a function held at St.Teresa’s College (Autonomous) in Ernakulam on February 17th 2023.

The biography penned in Malayalam by Mr.K.S.Venkatachalam and Ms.Geetha Nayar is titled “Sathyathinde Paathayil Thodarunna Yathra’ and the launch event was jointly organized by St.Teresa’s College in Ernakulam and EBG Foundation, Coimbatore.
Speaking about skill development, the Minister of State for Information Technology and Skill Development Mr.Rajeev Chandrasekhar has said that Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi is keen for empowering the present and next generation of our youngsters with entrepreneurial skills and upgrading their skills.
“If the Kochi Mayor send a request for establishing skill development centres, it will be immediately taken up,” the Union Minister said referring to a request made by Kochi Mayor M.Anilkumar for skill development centres.
Among those who spoke on the occasion include academician Prof.Dr.E.Balagurusamy and Dr.Achuth Sankar S Nair- Department of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics of Kerala University who also interacted with students.
Dr.Bindu Vijayakumar, managing trustee of EBG Foundation, welcomed the gathering while Ms.Raj Pillai, Head of Department of Computer Applications, St.Teresa’s College-Ernakulam, had proposed a vote of thanks.
