MADURAI: Sources in Madurai have alerted ‘Lotustimes’ today- on 13th February 2023- that a few properties and money that belong to the prestigious ‘The American College’ in Madurai is getting transferred to the son of present Principal Dr.M.Davamani Chirstober.
“The satellite campus ‘patta’ of American College got transferred to the individual name. Even the governing council chairman Rt.Rev.Dr.Jeyasingh Prince Prabhakar is unaware of this transfer. We are complaining against the Principal and taking the issue to the attention of Bishop of Madurai. The matter also is being taken to the police and we are going to seek legal remedies. This is an illegal act and illegal transfer of properties by our Principal. As per the college constitution, the Bursar is the main person to handle properties, they are purchased and registered in the name of Bursar, The American College, and not in individual name,” an alert received from higher education sources in Madurai have said today and announced protest to save the properties of American College in Madurai.
