MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Foodgrains Merchants Association had urged Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin to convene an urgent meeting with GST stakeholders and sufferers and hear their grievances so that the issues can be represented effectively in the upcoming GST Council meeting.

“We strongly insist that the CM must take steps to immediately call for a meeting that can be chaired by Minister and State government officials. Since the 49th GST Council meeting is taking place on 18th February 2023, the grievance meeting by Tamil Nadu government should be held before that. We have grievances on tax issues, suggestions and recommendations about GST. If you listen to our grievances on tax slabs etc, they can be better addressed in the GST Council meeting,” Mr.S.V.S.S.VelShankar, association president and Mr.S.P.Jeyapragasam, honorary advisor, have appealed in a letter written to the Chief Minister and Ministers and senior officials, dated 4th February 2023.
