MADURAI: A massive drive for e-waste collection is being organized in Madurai from today evening (30th January 2023) by the Lions Clubs International District 324-B in association with the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The list of e-waste includes CD drive, CCTV camera, DVD, CPU monitor, LEd monitor, memory card, desktop, phone, graphics card, cartridge, remotes, music system, phone battery, wires, power bank etc.
Through this drive which is being conducted by making an appeal to the people to donate e-waste, the organizers are going to collect e-waste from the people of Madurai for the next one week starting from today evening when the e-waste collection exercise will be formally commenced at an event to be held in the Tamil Nadu Chamber at Kamarajar Salai in Madurai at 5 pm today- 30th January 2023- Monday.
Lion Dr.T.P.Ravindran, Lions District Governor of Lions District 324-B and Dr.N.Jegatheesan, president, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and their team members including Mr.J.Selvam and others are coordinating this E-Waste Drive in Madurai which is aimed at environment protection and to create public awareness for safeguarding the environment.
