Give promotions: JAC team meets Director of Collegiate Education in Chennai; for promotions and other imp issues

CHENNAI: A delegation of the Joint Action Council of College Teachers (JAC), Tamil Nadu, had met the Director of College Education of Government of Tamil Nadu Prof.M.Eswaramoorthy at the DCE office in Saidapet in Chennai today- on December 14th 2022 and had given a representation to him on behalf of the college teachers’, for their important demands.

The delegation was represented by JAC of College Teachers Tamil Nadu convener Dr.M.Nagarajan, MUTA president Dr.Radhakrishnan and office-bearers of college teachers’ association GCTA Gopalakrishnan, MUTA treaurer Senthamaraikannan, AUT Gandhirajan and others.

Five important pending demands were again made to the Tamil Nadu State government and to the Directorate of Collegiate Education-TN Higher Education Minister, through an appeal submitted to the Collegiate Education Director in Chennai on December 14th 2022.

“Expediting and speeding up of the promotion of assistant professors in colleges as associate professors, giving incentives for M.Phil and Ph.D, sanctioning of pending arrears for college faculty and staff, converting MKU College in Madurai from constituent college to government college and taking care of Madurai Institute of Social Sciences (MISS) issues through Special Officer / RJD collegiate department were among the important issues raised by the JAC College Teachers Tamil Nadu in its representation to the Director of Collegiate Education Tamil Nadu,” a press release from the JAC has said.
