MADURAI: The ‘LotusTimes‘ website in Madurai www.lotustimes.org has received an important piece of information from higher education sources on 12th December 2022 that there is not even a single person from the SC/ST community in the top important administration non-teaching positions of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) at the level of Senior Deputy Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar and Senior Superintendent.
There are 43 senior level administration posts in the MKU and there is no one from the SC/ST who is there in this position and there is a strong feeling that employees from SC and ST are being DENIED THE OPPORTUNITY and not they are not getting important positions, sources told ‘LotusTimes’ website here today. An appeal has been made to the university authorities, dated 10-12-2022-, in the form of a representation expressing fears and concern that SC/ST staff are being ignored for administrative positions given to the non-teaching staff.
