MADURAI: The general body meeting of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai took place in the university campus at Mu.Va.Hall on 8th December 2022 where the MUFA members had taken a few important decisions and passed resolutions by appealing to the university authorities to take quick decisions.
The MUFA (Madurai Kamaraj University Faculty Association) general body meeting had resolved to ask the MKU Syndicate to review the promotions of Dr.R.Anbazhagan of the Department of Saiva Siddhantha Philosophy, Dr.B.Vijay Bhaskar of the Department of Bioenergy and Dr.Sujin P.Jose of the Department of Computational Physics under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) in line with the University Grants Commission (UGC) rules, and the MUFA general body had urged the university to give them promotion orders right away without anymore delay.
MUFA general body had also passed a resolution to request the MKU administration and all university authorities to expedite the promotion orders for Dr.M.Jayanthinath of Department of Materials Science and to Dr.V.Ilamparithi of Centre for Film and Electronic Media Studies. The MUFA had also urged the university administration to conduct CAS- CAREER ADVANCEMENT SCHEME- as and when the MKU faculty meet the minimum eligibility requirements on order to ensure smooth career progression and avoid huge monetary losses to the faculty of MKU.
