(VIDEO) Rs.430 cr MADURAI RAILWAY STATION redevelopment works’ inspection done by Southern Railway GM

MADURAI: Southern Railway General Manager Mr.R.N.Singh has today (on 8th December 2022 Thursday) inspected the Madurai Railway station redevelopment works and reviewed the progress of the railway station revamping works being carried out at an estimated cost of Rs.430 crores.

A press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here has informed that the Southern Railway GM had enquired about the redevelopment works being done in the Madurai railway station. Storm water drainworks and measures being taken to prevent rain water stagnation in the railway station premises were inspected by the General Manager Mr.R.N.Singh who was accompanied by railway officials in Madurai Division.

Madurai Divisional Railway Manager Mr.Padmanabhan Ananth, senior railway official Mr.Rajendra Prasad Dinakar, RVNL planning officer Mr.Kamalakar Reddy, chief engineer Mr.Thavamani Pandi and Deputy Chief Engineer Mr.Nandagopal were among those who were present during the Southern Railway General Manager’s inspection at Madurai railway station on December 8th 2022.

After completing the inspection, the GM held a review meeting with railway officials here today. He also inspected the Madurai-Nagercoil railway track route broad gauge works by going in a special inspection train.
