MADURAI: J.Jerlin Anika, a first year student BA (Economics) in Lady Doak College in Madurai, who is a gold medalist in badminton in the Deaflympics 2022 held in Brazil this year, was felicitated and honoured in a grand manner at an event held in the college campus in Madurai on 31st October 2022.
The Department of Physical Education of Lady Doak College had organized a special function today to honour and applaud the medal winning feat of student Ms.Jerlin Anika. She was felicitated by chief guest Mr.Padmanabhan Ananth, Divisional Railway Manager of Southern Railway Madurai Division, in the presence of college Principal and Secretary Dr.Christianna Singh.
Capt. Dr.Shanthameena, Director of Physical Education, LDC, welcomed the gathering while Dr.M.Hemalatha proposed a vote of thanks. A press release received from the college here today has said that the college Principal Dr.Christianna Singh had congratulated Deaflympian Ms.Jerlin for bringing name and fame to Madurai, and mentioned the names of achievers like Ms.Revathi Veeramani and Ms.Rosy Meena who brought repute to traditional city of Madurai.
Vice-Principal Dr.Beulah Jeyshree and Director of Upanyas Education Trust N.Saravanakumar (of ARIVIN KURAL magazine) and faculty members along with a large number of students were among those present at the felicitation function held in Lady Doak College in Madurai for badminton deaflympian Ms.Jerlin Anika.
