MADURAI: The Congress president election results which were declared today on 19th October 2022 may really spell more gloom and doom for the Congress party because the changing political dynamics and pace will not suit for 80-year-old senior leader octogenarian newly elected Congress president Mr.Mallikarjun Kharge to take on an aggressive BJP at the national level.
The Congress Party definitely fell into the Modi-Shah trap and left its last and the best hope of taking advantage of Gandhi name. With Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and their last hope Priyanka Gandhi not in the picture of party president election, they have spelled further gloom and disaster for the great party called Congress. Because 80-year-old Mr.Mallikarjun Kharge is no match for the BJP and its aggressive duo called Modi-Shah combine.
In my opinion, as a journalist, I can say that the Congress party is on its last step with this new president election and Mr.Mallikarjun Kharge can even become a future victim and will be blamed when the Congress party loses once again with a shame show in 2024 like what happened in 2014 and in 2019.
The Gandhis made it easy for the Modi team for the next Lok Sabha elections. Questions will now come to Mr.Kharge because he is the new president of Congress party while Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi can easily say that they are just members of the party and only Kharge and his team is responsible for Congress debacle.
Anyway, the election of Mallikarjun Kharge as new Congress president is going to be a challenge for the INC because he is not a leader with national level appeal. It is advantage Modi and perfect spot for the BJP for 2024.
