MADURAI: The prestigious American College in Madurai had organized centennial commemoration of Rev.William Michael Zumbro who was the college Principal from 1899 to 1922. Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Finance and Human Resources Management Dr.P.T.R.Palanivel Thiagarajan was the guest of honour for this important commemoration event held in the college campus here on 17th October 2022.
The highlight of this event was the presence of Zumbro’s family members. William Howard Richardson (grandson), Michael Austin Richardson (grandson), Elizabeth Hyde Ralston (granddaughter) and Michael Dwight Richardson (great grandson) were specially invited for the centennial commemoration of former Principal of American College Rev.William Michael Zumbro.
Dr.M.Davamani Christober, Principal and Secretary of The American College, had highlighted about the contributions made by Rev.Zumbro for access to quality education and his great services for the cause of education in Madurai during those days.
Bishop D.Jeyasingh Prince Prabhakaran, college faculty and students were among those who were part of the Centennial Commemoration of Zumbro here in Madurai on October 17th 2022.
