MADURAI: A special cleanliness awareness campaign was undertaken at the Madurai Railway Junction here on October 15th 2022. The yards in Madurai railway station saw this special cleaning drive thanks to the participation by 41 students and two staff members of NCC students from Latha Mathavan Engineering College and Latha Mathavan Polytechnic College in Madurai today.
They cleaned the railway yard and tracks in the Madurai railway junction here today, at places towards Rameswaam side, according to a press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today, as a part of ‘Har Patri Saaf Suthri’, which is an initiative of the Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Housing and Urban.
“Along with the students and staff Ananthapandi and Vinodkumar, Madurai Railway health inspector Karthigaiveni, assistant health officer M.Balasubramanian and others had participated in this special cleanliness campaign,” the railway press release said.
