Madurai girl wins 3 Gold medals in ASIA-PACIFIC badminton championship in Thailand; Lady Doak College congratulates her

MADURAI: Ms.Jerlin Anika of 1st year B.A.Economics from Lady Doak College in Madurai, has won three GOLD MEDALS in the Asia Pacific Deaf Badminton Championship held in Thailand from 14th September to 20th September 2022.

A press release received from the college here today (on September 19th 2022) had informed that Olympian Jerlin Anika had won three gold medals in the Asia Pacific Badminton Championship held in Thailand by winning match against Aaditya Yadav in the singles finals by scoring 21-6, 21-14 and in the doubles finals Jerlin Jayarat Chagan and Aaditya Yadav won the gold medals against Szeto M C and Law CY by scoring 21-13, 21-15.

The girl from Madurai- Ms.JERLIN ANIKA- also won a gold medal in the mixed doubles. This winning makes her a golden star of temple city of Madurai. “This is a victory for all Doakians and we are proud of this feat. Lady Doak College Principal Dr.Christianna Singh, Vice-Principal Dr.Beulah Jeyashree, Bursar Dr.Vanitha Malarvizhi and Dr.T.Shantha Meena and Dr.M.Hemalatha, Directors of Physical Education, had congratulated her,” the press release said.
