MADURAI: To commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence Day, a motorcycle rally and video wall propaganda were organised in Madurai on 1st July 2022- Friday- by the Southern Railway’s Madurai Division under the nationwide campaign called ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, to mark the celebrations. The RPF motorcycle rally touches tree plantation, Jal Seva, cleanliness drive, honouring freedom fighters etc.
Mr.Padmanabhan Ananth, Divisional Railway Manager, Madurai Division of Southern Railway, had flagged off the RPF motorcycle rally, from the Divisional Office complex in Madurai today. It also highlights railways’ performance, RPF duties and achievements etc. The rally will go around Madurai Division’s jurisdiction including Virudhunagar, Sengottai, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Kovilpatti, Rameswaram, Karaikudi and Dindigul. Later, the rally will reach Chennai. The RPF personnel will then accompanied by RPF personnel of Chennai, Salem, Tiruchi, Palakkad and Trivandrum Divisions to New Delhi and reach there for the 75th Independence Day celebrations in New Delhi to be held on 15th August 2022.
Mr.V.J.P.Anbarasu, Divisional Security Commissioner and Mr.Subash, Assistant Security Commissioner, were among the seniof officials of Madurai Division of Southern Railway, who were present on the occasion of flagging off the motor cycle rally to celebrate the 75th year Independence Day, in Madurai on 1st July 2022-Friday.
