MADURAI: The Women’s Studies Centre of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai had organized a national seminar on ‘Women Empowerment- Women in Overall Development of the Society’ on 19th May 2022. Dr.Iti Rani Samanta, columnist-journalist and film producer from Odisha, delivered special address by highlighting various women issues.
This seminar was organized with the support of RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) in the university campus here. Dr.R.Radhika Devi, Director in-charge, Women’s Studies Centre-MKU, welcomed the delegates while Dr.J.Vijayadurai, Professor and Head, Department of Management Studies, MKU, spoke on the importance of women’s role in any society.
Dr.Subbulakshmi, assistant professor, Women’s Studies Centre-MKU, and others were among the varsity staff who were present in the inaugural session of this seminar.
