MADURAI: Dr.J.Kumar assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai today- on 1st April 2022. He was welcomed by senior officials and staff from various departments of the university after which he met the nodal officers.
Dr.Kumar was appointed as MKU Vice-Chancellor by the Tamil Nadu Governor-Chancellor Mr.R.N.Ravi on 29th March 2022, for a period three years from the date of assumption of office. Prior to this, Dr.Kumar was UGC-BSR Faculty Fellow at Crystal Growth Centre of Anna University in Chennai. He has more than 29 years of rich teaching and research experience at Anna University and has successfully completed more than 20 sponsored R&D projects.
