MADURAI: The Bharat Bandh today- on March 28th 2022- had a severe affect especially on school students in Madurai city as several buses were off the roads due to nationwide strike called by CITU and various other unions. As the number of buses plying was less, school going students had a tough time in the morning due to the heavy crowds in the limited number of buses that were plying.
Students had to take the risk of footboard travel at many places in Madurai. A large number of students waited for a long time and had to take the available buses at Periyar bus stand etc. The all India strike call given by the CITU condemning the anti-worker and anti-farmer policies of Prime Minister MR.Narendra Modi’s government. As a result, public transport corporation buses were there in less number.
