MADURAI: A special train from Madurai to Varanasi is being arranged for the benefit of those who want to go on pilgrimage package tour to Kashi and other temples thanks to the initiative of IRCTC. This train will leave Madurai on April 28th early morning and goes via Tiruchi, Karur, Erode, Salem and Chennai central. The Madurai-Kashi tourist pilgrim special train will be very useful for those who want to see the temples in Kashi, Gaya, Allahabad, Mathura, Haridwar and other tourist places including Agra and New Delhi.
A press release received from the Southern Railway’s Madurai Division here on 15th March 2022 had informed that there are air-conditioned coaches also in this tourism special train. The fare per person is Rs.19,900, Rs.26,500 and Rs.36,900 depending on the choice. It will be also convenient for Central and State government employees who want to avail Leave Travel Concession (LTC). The total amount being collected includes train fare, south Indian vegetarian food and accommodation.
