675 students of American College donate blood at a mega camp held in Madurai

MADURAI: A mega blood donation camp conducted by the American College in Madurai on 9th March 2022 in which as many as 675 students of the college had donated blood and created a record. This camp was organised by the NSS unit of American College in association with Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Red Ribbon Club.

Dr.P.Saravanan, Managing Director of Saravana Multi-Speciality Hospital, Madurai, had inaugurated the camp in the presence of American College Principal and Secretary Dr.M.Davamani Christober. Among those who were present at the inauguration of blood donation camp include Prof.Justin Manoharan and Rajkumar Immanuel.

Ms.Vasanthi Kumari from the Government Rajaji Hospital Blood Bank was also present. Totally, 675 units of blood was collected at this mega camp organized by the American College NSS wing and the blood collected was sent to the GRH blood bank here. A press release received from the college has said that the college Principal Dr.Davamani Christober had appreciated the voluntary spirit of students who donated blood.

NSS Coordinator Prof.Balakrishnan and his team had made the arrangements for holding this mega blood donation camp of American College here on March 9th 2022.
