MADURAI: The Apollo Speciality Hospitals in Madurai had successfully performed keyhole brain surgery for a 13-year-old boy who had a ruptured brain aneurysm after he developed severe headache following a sudden fall in the restroom. A team of specialist doctors in neurology, critical care and paediatrics had done the procedure as advanced imaging of the blood vessels of his brain had revealed brain aneurysm in a major blood vessel inside the brain. This keyhole brain surgery was performed here three weeks ago for the boy who is studying 6th standard.

After he was brought to Apollo Hospital, we examined the boy, advanced imaging of blood vessels of his brain was done and within three hours he underwent a successful micro surgical keyhole clipping surgery. He had recovered in five days and was discharged from hospital without any problem,” Dr.Shyam said.
Stating that brain stroke is life-threatening and early detection is important, he said that one has to be careful if there is a severe / worst unbearable headache.
