DINDIGUL: He is only 22 years young and looks very vibrant. He is in electoral fray as an independent candidate contesting from Ward 17 in the ensuing urban local body election of Dindigul corporation.
Mr.K.K.R.Venkatesh has decided to take the electoral plunge for doing public service by contesting in the corporation election, bubbling with energy and confidence. With the election scheduled to take place on 19th February 2022, he is now tapping the voters of Ward 17 in Dindigul and the symbol given is ‘water tap’.
This youngster who is contesting as an independent candidate is well known to the people in Ward 17 and also popular in academic and sports circles. “The response from people during the campaigning is very positive and encouraging. I want to do a lot of good things for the people residing in Ward 17 in Dindigul and so I wanted to contest,” Mr.Venkatesh told ‘Lotus Times‘ website after his morning campaign on 8th February 2022.
HE HAS A LONG LIST:
Mr.Venkatesh comes from a family that is known in the field of education in Dindigul. His father is popularly known as ‘Surveyor Rathinam’ and leads the GTN Group of educational institutions.
“I completed Law last year from the School of Excellence in Law in Chennai. If I win the corporation election from Ward 17, I want to do lot of things for my ward people including CCTVs in the area for public safety, e-seva centre, online classes wifi facility, setting up of library and of course the other important things such as better roads and drainage,” the independent candidate promises.
He doesn’t want to stop with that. “I want to make Tamil Nadu look at my ward in Dindigul. I am confident and hope the voters will give me an opportunity to work for them,” says Mr.Venkatesh who did his schooling at the famous Montfort School in Yercaud.
With a keen interest in sports and games such as snooker and billiards, the young candidate is fresh with independent thoughts and pins his hopes on 2,993 voters of Ward 17 in Dindigul. Will the ‘water tap’ pours in votes for Mr.Venkatesh and fills his interest remains to be seen.
