Beware of touts, brokers and job racketeers: Southern Railway appeals to job aspirants (Helpline number 044-28213185)

MADURAI: The Southern Railway has today appealed job aspirants in railways not to fall prey to unauthorized advertisements, touts, brokers and job racketeers. “It has come to the notice of Railways that many job aspirants fall prey to job racketeers who are promising jobs in railways by taking huge money. The Railways is reiterating that the recruitment process in Indian Railways is through Railway Recruitment Board and RRC only. No other agency is involved in this.

Vacancies are filled after issuing centralized employment notifications and wide publicity in print media, through Employment News. For any notice or information regarding recruitment, the candidates should visit the official website of RRB only,” a press release issued by the Southern Railway on 4th February 2022 had cautioned.

The exams are fully computerised and selection is based purely on merit. Job aspirants have been asked to be wary of touts trying to deceive by false promises of securing job in railways through influence, money or by unfair means. “Candiates who are found indulging in unfair means will be disqualified and shall be liable to legal action,” the press release had added.

If a job aspirant is approached by anyone with promise of a railway job and demands money, a complaint can be lodged in the nearest police station or contact HELPLINE NUMBER 044-282 13185, for clarification. “Southern Railway is appealing to job aspirants to be a art of railway’s mission in conducting fair and transparent recruitment through RRBs and RRCs,” the important press statement issued by Southern Railway today has said.
