A.G.S.Rambabu’s demise is a great loss to trade and industry in TN: S.Rethinavelu

MADURAI: The passing away of former Madurai MP A.G.S.Rambabu is a great loss to the trade and industry in Tamil Nadu, particularly for the southern districts in the State, Mr.S.Rethinavelu, senior president of Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and president of Agrofood Chamber, has said in his condolence message issued here today and recalled the great service rendered by former MP.

Former Congress MP Mr.Rambabu, who got elected from Madurai, had passed away at a private hospital here on 11th January 2022 due to illness. Expressing his condolences to the bereaved family members, Mr.Rethinavelu has said: “We cannot forget the unassuming and great service rendered by Shri.A.G.S.Rambabu, former MP of Madurai constituency, to our TN Chamber for the past 30 years whether he was an MP or not. He accompanied the chamber delegations to meet Union Ministers and get necessary reliefs for trade and industry and to the general public.”

Mr.Rethinavelu had recalled that the construction of new international terminal building for Madurai airport was possible because of late Rambabu “and he accmpanied our chamber delegation to New Delhi when I was the chamber president to impress upon the Union Civil Aviation Minister not to allow the amount allocated for international terminal to get lapsed on account of delay in land acquisition and finally succeeded.”
