MADURAI: There are totally 13,27,894 voters in Madurai Corporation jurisdiction comprising of 100 wards in Madurai city. The electoral rolls for urban local body polls was released by Madurai Corporation Commissioner Dr.K.P.Karthikeyan here today – on 9th December 2021- in the presence of representatives of political parties and senior corporation officials.
According to a press release received from the Madurai Corporation here today, there are 6,25,617 male voters, 6,75,139 female voters and 138 transgender voters in Madurai Corporation. So, the total number of voters in the corporation area of 100 wards of Madurai is 13,27,894. The number of polling booths in Madurai Corporation is 1,317. The electoral rolls was released by corporation commissioner Dr.K.P.Karthikeyan in the presence of corporation assistant commissioners Mr.Dakshinamoorthy, Mr.Sureshkumar and Mr.Amirthalingam besides corporation PRO Mr.Maheswaran.
