MADURAI: In what is being called as a shocker for the employees and pensioners of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai, the salary and pension for the month of November 2021 are yet to be disbursed as on 6th December 2021 and the same is with family pension also. Anguished with the reports of MKU’s financial position, a large number of university staff and pensioners have made an appeal on 6th December to the varsity administration to take immediate steps for crediting the November month’s salary and pension.
A written representation was given to the MKU Registrar here today by the staff by pointing out that this is the first time in the university’s history that the monthly salary, pension and family pension were not given as per the scheduled salary date and “it is very shocking that we are yet receive November salary-pension even though the date today is 6th December 2021.”
“The former Vice-Chancellors of MKU, former Registrars, former Syndicate members, teaching staff and all sections of employees of this university have contributed a lot for getting good ranking in higher education for our university. The present employees contributed significantly. Hence we request the MKU authorities and the Registrar to take steps for disbursing the November 2021 salary amount quickly for the benefit of staff and pensioners,” the representation had added.
