Festival special train between Chennai and Nagercoil to clear extra rush; runs both ways for Deepavali

MADURAI: The Madurai Division of Southern Railway has begun taking special steps to meet the festival season rush especially for Deepavali festival. A special train will be running between Chennai Tambaram and Nagercoil to clear extra rush during Deepavalai festival. Mr.Thanneeru Ramesh Babu, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, had met the mediapersons virtually on October 6th 2021 Wednesday to provide information to the public. Train No.06003 Tambaram – Nagercoil Superfast special train will leave Tambaram at 21.40 hrs on October 13th and November 3rd and reach Nagercoil at 9.30 hrs on the next day.

RETURN DIRECTION:

In the return direction, Train No.06004 Nagercoil – Tambaram Superfast special train will leave Nagercoil at 16.15 hrs on October 17th and on November 7th and reach Tambaram in Chennai at 4.10 hrs on the next day. These trains will halt at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli. Advance reservation for these trains will commence from 8 am tomorrow- i.e.on October 7th, ADRM Mr.Thanneeru Ramesh Babu had told reporters during the virtual pressmeet held on October 6th 2021.
