MADURAI: Planting of tree saplings following Miyawaki technique will be done in a massive way in Madurai city from 2nd October 2021 under the initiative of Madurai Corporation. Tree saplings will be planted along the roadside and in vacant spaces here through this greenery mission through Miyawaki method pf tree planting. Those who are interested to participate in this tree planting drive can contact the Madurai Corporation for planting of saplings and clearing of wells.
Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.K.P.Karthikeyan has informed through a press statement issued here on 1st October 2021 that the interested and willing persons can contact the Corporation assistant commissioners on their mobile phones and go to the spot where the sapling work is going on. They can also contact the Madurai Corporation grievance redressal control room or the corporation offices here. Miyawaki technique creates a dense tree cover and forest green area.
