MADURAI: Very senior railway official and Railway Board Member Mr.Naresh Salecha had carried out a sudden inspection at Madurai Railway Junction in Madurai on Sunday evening- on 18th July 2021. During his surprise check, he took action against a hotel eatery in Madurai railway station for not giving bill receipt to a woman who bought a drinking water bottle in the railway premises in Madurai railway station here today.
According to a press release from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today evening, Railway Board Executive Director Finance from New Delhi Mr.Naresh Salecha made a sudden check at Madurai railway station on Sunday night- on 18th July 2021- and he inspected the train passenger amenities etc. He inspected the restaurants shops in the railway station on railway station platforms. A woman passenger bought a drinking water bottle from an eatery restaurant in railway station. She was not given receipt for the water bottle she had purchased. Immediately, the top railway official Mr.Naresh Salecha took action against that particular eatery point in the Madurai railway station and ordered for refund of amount she had paid for the drinking water bottle by citing the board kept there “Free food if no receipt’.
Mr.Naresh Salecha had also inspected the passenger waiting rooms in Madurai railway junction on Sunday evening, he checked the functioning of CCTVs etc. Madurai Divisional Railway Manager Mr.V.R.Lenin, Southern Railway financial advisor Mr.Anand Raupangadi, director Mr.Ganesh and other swere among those present during this sudden inspection in Madurai railway station on Sunday night. Review of Madurai railway station infrastructure development works, inspection of railway parcel section etc were also done by senior official Mr.Ganesh and others.
