MADURAI: The new president of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi and Vice-Chancellor of AMET University at Chennai Prof.Dr.G.Thiruvasagam met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin in Chennai on 14th July 2021. It was a courtesy call by the AIU president because he assumed charge as 100th president of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Col.Prof.Dr.G.Thiruvasagam had invited Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin for the national vice-chancellors conference to be held at Chennai in the last week of September 2021. This national conference of Vice-Chancellors is going to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi during the last week of September. Taking the good wishes of Chief Minister Mr.Stalin for his new assignment as AIU president, Prof.G.Thiruvasagam had presented a book titled ‘The Flower of Tholkappiyam’ (Tholkappiya Poonga written by Dr.M.Karunanidhi) and which was translated into English by Dr.G.Thiruvasagam.
