MADURAI: The Railways has come out with a major supporting drive to cheer up for those who are taking part in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics from 23rd July to 7th August 2021. To support the Indian contingent through special cheer selfie points, a special OLYMPICS SELFIE POINT was started at Madurai Railway Junction in Madurai, according to a press statement here on 8th July 2021.
Mr.V.R.Lenin, Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway Madurai Division, had inaugurated the ‘Olympics Selfie Point’ at Madurai railway station here today. This is an attempt to cheer the Indian contingent going for Tokyo Olympics through a massive ‘CHEER 4 INDIA’ Tokyo Games initiative by the Union Sports Ministry. At railway stations, special selfie points have been set up for public participation and Madurai railway station is one among them to cheer up the Indian contingent.
